VJIL’s constant endeavour is to deliver best solutions and services to our clients and partners at all times. Our Global delivery model ensures this intent of delivering best solution and services.
In today’s fast changing global economic climate, corporations are striving continuously to improve on the performance of their IT infrastructure and services while trying to reducing the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and improving on the ROI (Return on Investment). VJIL believes this can be achieved by through transparent Project Management, Communications and matured Global Delivery process. VJIL GDM is a matured process guided by ISO and SEI-CMM philosophies to carry out the tasks where they can be done best, in most economic sense with least amount of acceptable risk.
VJIL has successfully executed major projects using this model. The model works by dividing project components and executing it in parallel at client site and at offshore development centre in India. Onsite activities involve interactions with the client team during the requirements study, high-level design and back-end testing and implementation. The activities performed offshore are those that do not require regular interactions with the client, such as detailed design, coding, fixes and documentation. This not only provides 24x7 development environment but also removes the guess out of the project deadlines.
The GDM works on a strategic mix of Onsite and Offshore activities. The onsite activities involve interactions with the client project team during requirement study, high-level design and onsite testing and implementation. The offshore activities involve activities that do not require constant interactions such as detailed design, coding, testing documentation and bug fixes.

The core of the VJIL model is a commitment to continuously improve the quality in every service that we deliver. VJIL strongly believes a given process does not fit all, considering this VJIL adopts a collaborative approach with clients for the implementation of the right levels of process and quality that are needed to deliver successful projects.

Development Methodologies
Demands for quality software, changing requirements based on business needs, and on-time deliveries are common desirables of software development today. To counter these challenges, VJIL has adopted contemporary software development methodology that provides our team and clients with methodologies to address these challenges.
VJIL adopts the following methodologies.
Agile development
VJIL suggest and adopts an agile methodology such as SCRUM, Iterative development when our clients function in a fast paced business environment where requirements are volatile. Through transparent communication and collaboration and iterative development, VJIL adopts the agile methodology to develop software that provides our clients with an accelerated delivery cycle and the flexibility to change requirements according to changing business needs.
VJIL has created methodologies that take the best practices and combines it with agile models such as Extreme Programming and SCRUM. To achieve short delivery cycles our resources are trained in continuous code integration, pair programming, and test-driven development.

Waterfall development
The Waterfall model is a sequential software development model in which development is seen as flowing steadily downwards (like a waterfall) through the phases of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance.
VJIL adopts the waterfall model when the project requirements are stable and each phase can progress smoothly with a minimum amount of rework.

PRINCE2 Development Methodology
PRINCE2 is a structured project management methodology providing organizations with a standard approach to the management of projects. The method embodies proven and established best practice in project management. It is widely recognized and understood, and so provides a common platform for all stakeholders in the project.
PRINCE2 helps organization, as well as the managers of the project, through the controllable use of resources and the ability to manage business and project risk more effectively. PRINCE2 project management approach is a process driven methodology, primarily consisting of 45 separate sub-process.
